Strive LLC ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding your data. By using learnwithstrive.com (the "Service"), you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Account information: Name, email address, and password (hashed using HMAC-SHA256 — never stored in plain text). Optionally: dream career, test date, and self-reported areas of difficulty.
Consent record: For users under 18, we log the timestamp of the onboarding consent acknowledgment confirming parental awareness. This record is retained for the life of the account.
Parent/guardian information: If you provide a parent or guardian email address, we store it to send automated weekly progress reports. Parents may also access a read-only dashboard using a parent access code in the format STR-XXXX (for example, STR-6931). You may remove or change the parent email at any time from Account settings.
Session data: Tutoring session activity including subjects studied, time spent, quiz results, accuracy, XP earned, and session transcripts. Session data is stored securely on Strive's servers (Supabase) — not solely on your device.
Diagnostic and test data: Results from diagnostic assessments and practice tests, including estimated scores and topic-level performance.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. We store your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription.
Customer service conversations: Conversations with our AI-powered customer service agent are logged for quality assurance and dispute resolution. These logs are treated as personal data under this Policy.
Usage and technical data: Pages visited, session counts, feature usage, API usage, browser type, device type, operating system, and IP address (used for security and rate limiting only — not for advertising).
Strive uses Claude (by Anthropic) for AI tutoring sessions and customer service. Your session messages and support interactions are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy governs their handling of this data. We do not train AI models on your personal data.
Voice synthesis is powered by OpenAI's text-to-speech API. Text sent for voice generation is subject to OpenAI's privacy policy. We recommend reviewing both Anthropic's and OpenAI's privacy policies for details on how they handle data.
Your account and session data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted in the United States. We implement the following security measures:
No system is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to connor@learnwithstrive.com. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law, including Georgia's data breach notification law (O.C.G.A. § 10-1-912), within the legally required timeframe.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:
We select third-party providers that maintain appropriate security standards. We do not authorize providers to use your data for their own purposes beyond delivering their services to us.
When you delete your account, all personal data not subject to a legal retention requirement is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Strive is designed for students aged 15–18. Users under 13 are blocked from creating an account at signup. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact connor@learnwithstrive.com and we will delete the account and all associated data promptly.
For users aged 13–17, we log a timestamped consent acknowledgment during onboarding confirming parental awareness. Parents or guardians may review their child's data via the parent dashboard, request data deletion, or revoke consent by contacting connor@learnwithstrive.com.

Strive uses browser localStorage to store your authentication token and session preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or sell data to advertisers or data brokers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised accordingly. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
